Our Story
What began as tutoring friends’ kids in homeschool, turned into walking alongside all of our clients down a new path of change and inner healing.
We found that in order for true and lasting change to take place, we needed to go deeper than academics and behaviors. We needed to be willing to dive into the unknown territory of finding the roots of each issue or situation. This was uncharted territory. Who has time for that? Well…we do!
It takes hard work and commitment to continue to say “yes” when things get overwhelming and challenging. But the hard work develops incredible fruit of growth…both emotionally and academically.

We're not here to follow trends—we're here to find ourselves. Each of us. Who are we? What makes us tick? Who were we before the world convinced or conditioned us to believe we were something other than our true selves?
The path to light and truth is never as clearly marked as we would like it to be. Feeling like we are in limbo between two realities is uncomfortable. But discomfort can be a great trigger for us to know it’s time to grow. And we can follow in the footsteps, for a time, of those who have learned part of the way, while we look for our own next fork in the road.
Our paths all look different, because we are all very different people. And we at TheUpwardHouse find it exciting to help individuals find their own path. Sometimes it takes some digging and some uncovering one’s true identity. But it truly is a treasure hunt…and we are GREAT treasure hunters!
